As Paul headed towards Damascus to persecute the Christians, he saw a shining light that made him fall to the ground. Jesus spoke to him and from that moment on he was converted to Christ.

God had the stars of heaven counted, if he could count them at all, as an illustration of the great offspring he would give to Abraham through Isaac.
